What lies underneath?
The other function searches for primitives, hidden assumptions, and what survives scrutiny.
It accumulates observations. It challenges assumptions. It reviews conclusions. It searches for contradictions.
It is concerned with the structure beneath the answer.
THE DISTINCTION
It existed before the names.
The names Christina and Odet were attached to those functions.
Christina remained the name that moves through the world. Odet became the name for the function that searches for primitives, hidden assumptions, and what survives scrutiny.
Most people experience some version of this separation. The difference is not that the distinction exists. The difference is that it became explicit.
THE NAME
That name became Odet.
Once the distinction became visible, it became difficult to ignore.
Questions could be examined separately from answers. Observations could be separated from conclusions. Assumptions could be inspected rather than inherited.
